Pak-China relations-Beyond CPEC and External Influence

As per sources, rumors were circulating that there is friction b/w China & Pakistan and that China will not offer further financial resources, however, it became evident after discussions with Chinese officials that this is untrue. They disclosed messages emphasizing their willingness to assist Afghanistan by pursuing economic development and cooperation, and how the international community should acknowledge Pakistan’s integral role in supporting Afghanistan. Moreover, they stressed that while they won’t meddle in Pakistan’s internal affairs, they wish for Pakistan to establish political stability to pave the path for economic development. Lastly, they stressed that while CPEC is essential to Pakistan’s growth, it is important to remember that CPEC is only one facet of Pakistan, and China-Pakistan relations go well beyond that.
