When the International Court of Justice (ICJ) rejected India’s plea for Jadhav’s return and granted him consular access, both India and Pakistan ‘celebrated’ the decision as a victory.
On the other hand, where the Indian media, owing to its pro-BJP bias and anti-Pakistan rhetoric, maintained stubbornly that it was India’s victory, the Pakistani media and social media, was more rational and discussed both dimensions of the verdict.
