A tale of courage, love & resilience: Mashaal Malik

Mashaal Malik is deeply concerned about her husband Yaseen Malik -a prominent Kashmiri Leader – who has been in Tihar Jail (India) since April 2019. She talks about how she fell in love with him – it was love at first sight for me she says. They got married and lived happily for several years and have a beautiful dauther together. Mashaal talks about how difficult at times it becomes for her to tell her daughter that her father will be coming home soon. She talks about her challenging life but remains hopeful that like every dark night is followed by a beautiful, bright day, she will soon be together with her husband Yaseen Malik. She speaks about and appreciates the efforts of Pakistan to bring peace in Kashmir while she is extremely critical about the August 5, 2019 move by Narendra Modi who abrogated article 370 in Kashmir which led to increased difficulties for Kashmiris.
