He believes that the current US approach towards Pakistan is one of a good cop bad cop, with President Trump acting as the good cop while some of his deputies and advisors at the State Department and the White House are acting as the bad cops.
Imtiaz Gul believes that there is no reason for Islamabad to expect any let up in the hostile views, particularly of those key US officials who apparently are more given to the Indian narrative.
