Pakistan won the match last night and all of a sudden our hearts are all going out to the Pakistani team, and we’ve quite managed to forgive Pakistan for their loss to India. Pakistan kept alive their chances of reaching the World Cup semi-finals last night, cruising to a six-wicket win against previously unbeaten New Zealand and we are in complete state of celebration.
The social media could not refrain from comparing this crucial win to the one Pakistan won in 1992 and was quick to draw the statistics to bring every cricket lover’s heart to bleed green.
The trend on twitter was surely on the rise #WeHaveWeWill and the persona was prevailing on social media all over. Certainly keeps our spirits alive,right!
Well, Babar Azam scored the first century of the tournament, and second since 1987 and how can Pakistani keep off the social media to boast about the green shirts, not that the Pakistanis are being over confident!
Shaheen Adridi won hearts all over, having taken 3 wickets in the match last night, he definitely was star of the show, safe to say that he probably initiated the win for the team.
Even though we love the green shirts, no one can stop a Pakistani to troll on social media, in the gravest of situations even.
Once again, fingers crossed for the next two matches to come, for they’ll definitely be crucial to Pakistan’s spot in the semi finals.
