Traditional Peshawari Mutton Karahi Recipe

Ingredients:

  • Mutton 1kg
  • Tomatoes 4 medium size peeled & sliced
  • Green Chillies 8 to 10 (Spicy)
  • Ginger 2 to 2 ½ inch piece
  • Salt 2 tbsp
  • Black Pepper Powder ½ tsp
  • Garlic Paste 2 tbsp
  • Coriander For garnishing

Method:

• Take a wok, put 2 cups of oil and heat it.
• Add 2 tbsp of garlic paste and sauté it for 1 minute.
• Add mutton and fry it until it changes color.
• Add 2 tbsp salt and fry it for 4 to 5 minutes until it changes color to golden brown.
• Add 2 glasses of water and let it boil.
• Then cover the wok and let it cook on medium flame for 1 to 1 ½ hours.
• Remove the cover and increase the flame to boil water until some of it evaporates.
• Add tomatoes and cook it for 2 minutes. Mix it for gravy.
• Add green chillies and mix it well.
• Add ginger and again mix it.
• Add black pepper powder.
• Let it until oil comes on the top.
• Garnish it with coriander.

Delicious & Traditional Peshawari Mutton Karahi is ready to serve.
