Another consignment of 1,557,270 Pfizer vaccine doses – donated by the US government – arrived in Pakistan on Nov 13. This was the last shipment of the 9.6M Pfizer vaccine donation through the global anti-pandemic initiative COVAX for the months of October-November. An official statement by the State Department said: We are proud to do our part to help vaccinate the people of Pakistan. In addition to the 15.8M COVID-19 vaccine doses donated to Pakistan by the U.S., we’ve delivered an additional 9.6M Pfizer doses in the last month. This unconditional donation of over 25M vaccine doses are part of our ongoing effort to help Pakistan recover from this pandemic.
