Brexit is moving a lot of businesses away from UK, for easier access to the whole of the European Union. One such company is Elon Musk’s Tesla, which will take its electric car battery manufacturing plant to Berlin, Germany. Elon Musk, who owns Tesla stated himself that the uncertainty surrounding Brexit has led him to make this decision.
This means that in near future, Tesla batteries will be made in the car manufacturing capital of the world. Musk said it himself when he declared that the best cars are made in Germany. There is no doubt that German engineering is unparalleled, and this will be a ground-breaking move by the electric car giants.
The Tesla Gigafactory will be established in the outskirts of Berlin, where they will build the Tesla Model 3 and Model Y. The Gigafactory will also be accompanied by an engineering and design centre in Berlin to complement the Gigafactory.
Production in Berlin’s new factory is expected to begin in 2021, according to Elon Musk. He is exhilarated with the decision, and excited about the prospects of having a car manufacturing plant in Berlin.
