As PSL V continues it is surprising us all! This time around Multan Sultans are on top of the scorecard with 11 points after having played 7 matches out of which they won 5, lost 1 & didn’t got to play 1 match because of rain.
Following Multan Sultans is Peshawar Zalmi, an all time favorite of many followed by the Islamabad United. The champions of PSL IV, the Quetta Gladiators, surprisingly are the last in the ranking so far. Karachi Kings holds the 4th position as of now whereas Lahore Qalandars are on fifth position this time. We had high hopes for Lahore Qalandars this season but they stand second last on the scorecard with 6 points, nonetheless performing better than previous seasons.
Fan favorite and one of the few players to come to Pakistan in early days of PSL, Darren Sammy didn’t perform well in this season but still Zalmi fans love him as he is the most charismatic player of the series.
As far as performance is concerned, we are unable to choose the best player yet as the PSL is still going on. 23 of 34 matches have already been played. Hopes are high for Multan Sultans to win the series as they are top performers so far however, since cricket is a game of chance, you never know what happens in the coming days. All cricket fans are looking up to their respective teams to get into the top 4 to qualify for semi-finals and then finals. May the best team wins!
