Peshawar Zalmi have been one of the favourites ever since PSL started in Pakistan. Many fell in love with this team because of the two legendary players Shahid Afridi (he is no more with the team) and Darren Sami (despite the security issues not did he participate in the tournament but has also been a great supporter of Pakistan).
Zalmi fans are excited to see their favourite players get into action once again. Peshawar Zalmi (PZ) won the championship in 2017. Last year they were runner up losing to Quetta Gladiators. PZ is one of the teams that showed great performance and sportsman spirit in all the tournaments played till last year.
The owner of Zalmi, Javed Afridi is also equally popular among cricket fans. He is a Pakistani business executive and entrepreneur and is the CEO of Haier. He is also the owner of Benoni Zalmi in the T20 Global League of South Africa.
