Imtiaz Gul, the Matrix Editor, recently participated in a panel conversation with the Turkish TRT tv on Pakistan’s challenge as to how to balance relations with both the United States and long-time friend China. How difficult it is to maintain the balance, can it annoy the United States if Pakistan tilts towards China? Gul said both China and Pakistan are inextricably linked in a cordial, strategically long-term relationship but preserving it and promoting it depends on how smartly and pro-actively can Islamabad work on it while attending both to the domestic as well as external challenges.
