MM: How would you describe the music that you create?
MZ: The music I create is for the people who love music. It’s not created to connect with them for a day or a month but for the lifetime.

MM. What would you be doing right now, if it wasn’t for your music career?
MZ: If not a musician, I’d be flying fighter jets.

MM: How do you feel the Internet has impacted the music business?
MZ: Internet is a great tool in modern times for any business and music is surely one of them. You can reach out to millions of people without getting yourself on a record label or a cassette or a compact disk.

MM: How do you feel when you represent Pakistan while performing abroad?
MZ: I cherish every single moment and take full pride in representing my country whenever and whenever.

MM: What do you like about composing music?
MZ: By creating music you get to work with creative people, make friends and do what you like doing. Doing your own thing, there are no assignments or project deadlines as such and that’s when you express yourself the best and enjoy the most.

MM: Other than ‘tu phir aao’ which song of yours you’re fond of?
MZ: I never said I’m fond of “toh phir aoo”, it is the listeners that perhaps consider it my best. Personally, a couple of my songs (yet to be released) are my favourite. I am really fond of are still unreleased.

MM: If you could change anything about the industry, what would it be?

MZ: Hahaha. I’d make the “an industry” first !

MM: How did you come up with your band name?
MZ: It was easy, to be honest, a couple of my university fellows sat together with me and decided on the name that is somewhat “unique” to represent our type of music.

MM: Why most of your songs are sad?
MZ: Honestly, happy songs often come and go, they change with the season. sad songs on the other hand stay on playlists forever.

MM: You have been in the music industry since long how has your journey been so far?
MZ: It’s been a great ride. Have always made sure I’m in the driving seat and we are doing well, so no going smoothly. No regrets .

MM: Did you learn to sing, write and play? Or the passion emerged within you?
MZ: I started learning music when I had already sung 5 playback songs in Bollywood and had a music album to my name in Pakistan and India both. It’s never too late to learn and there should be no shame in it at all.

MM: Who do you see as your tough competitor in the industry?
MZ: Anyone who knows how to write good lyrics.

Q13. Define your band in one word?
MZ: Hope

Q14. One message for your fans?
MZ: Stay real, support your artists and always take pride in them and your other fellow countrymen.
