Kanwal Naseer and Broadcasting are synonymous. She first took to broadcasting since she was only seven years old from Radio Pakistan, Lahore. Daughter of Legendary ”Apa Shameem” (Sitara Imtiaz & Pride of performance) of Radio Lahore. Kanwal Naseer has become a legend in her own right. Having pioneered the art of Radio, Television and Stage (PNCA) Compering.
At age 16 in 1965, Kanwal assisted legends Madam Noor Jehan, Amanat Ali Khan and many more at Lahore Studios of PBC.
What holds her apart from the rest in this field is her fluency in English; Urdu and Punjabi.
From Convent in Lahore was Groomed in a family where values and traditions were adhered to.
She has the singular honor of being PTV’s First Announcer; Compere; Actress; Anchor; News Caster. Her compering has been the Hallmark of her long distinguished career.
For her outstanding contribution in the field of Broadcasting, “Pride of Performance Award” was conferred (2009).
She also has the distinction of introducing Pakistani Art and Culture as Presenter of Pakistani Cultural Tropes in over a dozen countries.
She played a major role in cataloging and archiving of Radio Heritage and Training Producers and Anchors at PTV and PBC Academies.
