How to Tighten Up Loose Skin Naturally
As we age, our skin starts losing elasticity and results in wrinkles and sagging skin anywhere in the body. Below we are sharing some very effective remedies that are natural and have no side effects. With regular use, you will feel that you skin is gradually getting better, firmer and glowing.
1- Essential Oils
The number one natural remedy is using essential oils on a regular basis.
- Geranium Oil: While many oils are recommended by different experts, one of my favorites is Geranium. Geranium actually is therapeutic for the liver and kidneys. It also helps in getting rid of skin inflammation and hydrates the skin. Geranium oil also, helps tighten and firm the skin.
Mix about five drops of geranium oil with Jojoba oil and rub it on your skin gently twice every day.
- Frankincense Oil: It’s been used for beauty treatments for thousands of years. It contains a compound called pine, which has anti-inflammatory properties. Frankincense also helps with skin tone. If somebody has age spots or sun damaged skin, frankincense oil can help naturally heal that skin area and even out that skin tone. Besides, it’s also been shown to help firm and tone up the skin because of the really unique compounds like pine found in this essential oil.
Mix a few drops geranium and jojoba oil. Apply it directly to the skin.
- Argan oil: One of my favorite essential oil to use overall for the skin is Argan oil. This oil has been used throughout history to reduce bruising. If you’re a person that bruises easy, argan oil reduces inflammation and actually improve circulation to those areas as well. Argan Oil is one of the number one carrier oils that are used in a mixture with essential oils for tightening of the skin. This is a great oil to use on the face.
2- Hyaluronic acid
Hyaluronic acid is a really unique compound that’s found traditionally in bone broth and collagen products. The best way to get it is by drinking bone broth which really is the number one way you want to get this in your skin or in your body. (see bone broth recipe)
As we age, our body produces less collagen. Collagen is really what keeps our skin firm, toned and tight. So in order to slow that progression, you have to consume foods that are really rich in collagen. The most collagen boosting foods are bone broth and wild caught salmon- ideally with the skin-. The skin of salmon actually has the largest amounts of collagen. Chicken skin and even egg yolks also have some collagen though to a small degree. A collagen supplement is also strongly recommended e.g., a bone broth powder in a smoothie every day.
A study on a control group of women between the ages of 35 and 50 found out that women who took about 2 to 5 grams of collagen a day, saw improvements in their skin firmness, tone and elasticity – all these things in just eight weeks.
So remember, these tips: use essential oils like Geranium and Frankincense. Use natural oils like argan oil, hyaluronic acid as a natural skin treatment. Consume collagen promoting foods like bone broth, wild caught salmon, and egg yolks. Include a collagen protein supplement in your diet on a regular basis. You’re going to feel better!
