Matrix Media in an exclusive interview with veteran actor Firdous Jamal explores the journey and struggle of the actor. Born in a conservative Pashtun family of Peshawar, Firdous Jamal through sheer hard work and dedication earned a very high repute in the performing arts in Pakistan and has the honour of being the youngest recipient of the ” The Pride of Performance” award in acting- the highest civil award- in 1986. He also has the honour of being awarded the “Voice of the Millennium” award by Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation in 2001. His most notable work in TV dramas was in the plays Waris, Sayeeban Sheeshay ka, Man chale ka sauda, Mehboob, Pagal Ahmeq Bewakoof, Saahil, Piyari, Dhoop Deewar, Ruswaiyan. The art journey of Firdous Jamal continues and he is currently appearing in many serials and solo dramas on different television channels in Pakistan.
