DROWN THE BITTERNESS IN CHOCOLATE CAKE

Nothing beats a perfect chocolate cake with a hot cup of tea, when one returns home after a busy day.

As the saying goes, ‘’A little bit of sweetness can drown a whole lot of bitterness’’, I thought of sharing the secret chocolate cake recipe of my mother with you all. So sit back in your cozy lounge and enjoy!

INGREDIENTS:

Oil                         1 cup

Water                   1 cup

Cocoa powder   1/3 cup       

Flour                      2 cups

Baking soda           1 tsp.

Baking powder    1 tsp.

Salt                           ½ tsp.

Sugar                      1 cup

Eggs                        2

Yogurt                      4 Tbsp

METHOD:

  1. Cook cocoa powder with water and oil until it combines well with the mixture.
  2. Beat the eggs with sugar and add it to the cocoa mixture.
  3. Sift the flour and add the baking powder along with baking soda, and combine well with the mixture prepared before.
  4. Add yogurt to the prepared batter and transfer the prepared batter to the pan to finally bake it in the oven.
  5. Preheat the oven at 180 degrees and place the baking pan in the oven for about 40 minutes or until the cake is fully cooked.

Enjoy the cake with a warm cup of tea. Undoubtedly it will be one of the best cakes you would have ever baked.
