Soch Band fuses two very brilliant artists, Adnan Dhool and Rabi Ahmed. The Dynamic duo is eminent for their enthralling music, production and compositions. While Adnan flares the magic on the mic, Rabi electrifies the environment with his aptitudes on the guitar. They are making a tremendous contribution in the industry by their spectacular spadework. Both run a production house; also render songs and music for serial OSTs and jingles for corporate world. They too made their Bollywood debut with the famous song ‘Awari’ and also had rocked the grounds of Nescafe Basement twice.
Q1. How would you introduce the kind of music you play?
Ans: Our music is a fusion of Sufi and Rock.
Q2. Who or what has been your inspiration?
Ans: Pakistan’s traditional music has always been our inspiration. From
Abida Parveen to Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan Sahab likewise Rahat Sahab have been
inspiring us. From west we have been following tommy Emmanuel John Mayer.
Q3. Where do you see yourself in next five years?
Ans: We don’t believe in planning anything, we believe in letting the
future unfold it’s planning for us, we just try to put our best in the music we
make.
Q4. Do you both have any plans on working in a movie?
Ans: Yes as music directors but no as leads, we’re non actors.
Q5. How does it feel to be a famous band?
Ans: It feels great when your work is acknowledged; nothing can be more
motivational than our fans telling us how much they love us and our work.
Q6. How was your experience working with Nescafe
Basement?
Ans: The experience has always been full of learning since our very own
mentor is at the lead, we both feel extremely comfortable with Xulfi bhai
(Zulfiqar Jabbar Khan) as he exactly knows what and how to haul our talent.
Q7. What do you think Pakistan has given you so far?
Ans: Pakistan is our home, whatever
we are today is because of the love this country has given us and what could be
more respectful than performing abroad as a Pakistani band considering that our
(Pakistani) Music is know all over the world.
Q8. Which place do you consider the best in Pakistan that
you would want to visit again and again?
Ans: Performance wise our favorite place would be Lahore and Islamabad and
we can never get enough of it.
Q9. What are your plans for the Independence Day? How do
you celebrate it?
Ans: We always celebrate Independence Day with putting up a flag early
morning, and try to remain peaceful; a family dinner works the best.
Q10. What is your idea of patriotism?
Ans: The first and foremost thing is to keep our country clean and every
single step taken in accordance to the laws of our country whether it’s
7am or 7pm it is patriotism and most importantly not leaving your land or not to
forget your roots even in the toughest times explains the idea of it.
Q11. Who according to you is the best singer in the
industry nowadays or have the potential to rule the hearts?
Ans: There are so many but I’m the best lol, that’s the spirit which keeps
you going.
Q12. What measures do you suggest should be taken for the betterment of the country?
Ans: Equal and strict laws for everyone.
Q13. When are you planning on getting married?
Ans: Adnan: I’m married Alhumdulilah and it’s been three happy years now.
Rabi: I am happily single enjoying it to the full swing.
Q14. One best and worst compliment you ever received?
Ans: Adnan: Whenever Xulfi bhai (Zulfiqar Jabbar Khan) encourage us. He once said to me that you’re the best lyricist this country can have and the worst one would be whenever I’m told that I’ve gained lol.
Rabi: People do compliment a lot on my guitar melodies also they get their guitars signed but yes when Xulfi bhai says man that was amazing stuff and some great guitar part it means the world to me.
Q15. If you both ever get stuck on an island with a person, which island would it be and with whom?
Ans: Adnan: To remain on the safer side I’ll say my wife lol
Rabi: I don’t mind being stuck on a virgin island alone and try to live there (big fan of cast away).
Q16. What is in your project pipeline next?
Ans: Wait and watch 😉
