Citizens Police Liaison Committee (CLPC) and Sindh Police have joined hands to rescue and save innocent lives by using modern technology at par with international standards.
The Zainab Alert app which was launched on the play store on January 7, 2020 is now ready to function.
The Zainab app is multilingual – providing options in multiple languages like Urdu, Sindhi, Punjabi and English.
This app is a replica of the international Amber Alert app and was approved after the Zainab Alert, Recovery and Response Bill, 2019.
Mushtaq Mahar, IG Sindh Police, said the app is user friendly and we need to use latest technology to provide safety for the future generations to come.
The app will help provide a database for crimes against children, registration of cases and their investigation. The information on the police performance for the specific areas will be provided as well.
After Karachi, this app is expected to cater the whole country. The app is 4.21 megabyte in size and has been updated on January 18, 2020.
