Plants add beauty and colour to our homes. We often use decorative plants for indoors that beautifies our bedrooms, sitting areas and at times our kitchen. Like every other part of your home bathroom deserves to be decorated with lush green plants as well.
But a lot of people believe that it is difficult to find the right plants that can thrive in the bathroom. Often, there re small windows in the bathroom that allows little light inside and hence this may become a challenge for growth of the plants. It does not even need any soil and can grow in water very well so simply put the stalks into a container filled with pebbles and water and it is good to go. You shall have to change the water every two to four weeks.
Begonia:
Begonias do not need a lot of sunlight and can grow very well in fluorescent lighting. They however require humidity or regular misting.
BostonFern:
It grows best when placed on a windowsill or in a position which receives lots of indirect light. Humidity and temperature are ideal. Other ferns also do well in bathrooms, including the Asparagus, Staghorn, and Bird’s Nest varieties.

It is one of the most durable plants that you can grow in bathroom. These plants thrive in medium to low light, or indirect sunlight. It is best suited for the warm temperatures and humidity of bathrooms.
Dracaena:
Also known as dragon plants are the best air purifiers. It requires a light shade as its leaves will scorch if too bright. The light and humidity conditions of bathroom are best for this kind of plant.
Ivy:
It is one of top air purifying plants. It can keep your bathroom hygienic. It can be placed on a ledge or on a hanging basket. Moderate sunlight and humidity, best for bathroom.
Orchid:
Orchids can give your bathroom a luxury feel. Needs adequate indirect sunlight but not too much while the high humidity mirrors the flower’s natural environment. It is compact in size so can be placed easily.
Peace Lily:
Best conditions are low light but should be exposed to some indirect sunlight and also humidity. It is also one of the best air purifier.

It requires medium light intensity as intense light will turn its leaves yellow, so fluorescent bulbs are best for this kind of light. Although this hardy plant can tolerate average humidity, high levels promote lush, shiny foliage. Ideal growing temperatures are between 75 and 85 degrees F.
Pothos:

Spider Plant:
Commonly found in public spaces, the spider plant helps remove odors, fumes and around 90% of formaldehyde from the air. This plant can grow without any care, because of which they work well in bathrooms
ZZ Plant:
Also known as ‘Eternity Plant ’ as they don’t require much care. Although deep shade or direct sunlight don’t work for this plant, it can grow in most other light conditions such as a north, east or west facing window; and in a wide humidity range.
