Collection

You've become dust,
Gathering in my mind.
Yet something in you
Catches the sunlight
And sparkles.

Soon you will be
Swept up,
But you will collect there
Again.

Sara is 16-years-old. "I have been writing as long as I can remember, and over the years, I have taken many creative writing classes. An example of such a class is the one at the University of Chicago, which I took the summer after my sophomore year. In this course, the professor stressed the importance of practice and revision. My friends and I are in the process of starting a literary magazine for teens. We hope it will serve as a method for unifying the area high schools."
