In
1966, after receiving many awards for poetry, David Wade produced
and appeared on the album "The Poetry/Jazz Lp" which was praised by
Allen Ginsberg in the New York Times.
He
has published over 400 poems, articles, interviews, dream journals,
and short stories in such periodicals as Trace, Confrontation, Obras,
and Tuli Kupferberg's Yeah. He has also published two volumes of poetry:
Death of a Chinese Paratrooper (1972) and Hungry Horse on a Blank Field
(1982). "Since the parting of Mel Tormé and two close friends (close
a veces en mi vida!) to "The Other Shore" -- Jolon DeL. and Jean Farmer
-- I live each day as if in Eternidad -- which means I need to write
more and sleep less."
David
Wade has a B.A. in Speech and Theatre from Florida State University
(1958), and an M.A. in English and Creative Writing from Indiana University
(1961).
