Leaf Frond I

cross steps of field
risen footfalls in frost
passed over winter's watch
sewn stalled reflections
peripheries atolled
like a lit hall biding
tread trickled routes

formed flaking mass
congealed streaks
limber
rim to fragile trail
switch back churning out
quiltstiched and crystal formed
tufts so tender
still
laced holds bond
days
too culmintate space
so
like frostbitten hills
serve as reference
in sheening
glaze

mist beyond back
cover before flank's will
folds, over events seamed
strewn hung collections
of edict's summary
as a damp drawl bathes us
by trickled link

rust into rain
passive beaads
running
in consequent trail
like flooded yam plied
layer on pleated raise
press soak and stream
till
tines turn long
days
in culminated grace
grow
through surfacing spur
to load inlain
and temporal
rains
