Born in North Cacalaca at the sound of 22 tons of stell coming home,
John Pearson has published only in Hungarian. Although his feet
are beginning to itch he currently lives in Bloomington iwth his wife
Zsuzsa and their wiley stuffed animals. When time is kind he works on
a cycle of which the main poem replicates DNA by crossing with palindromes.
Animo.
John
is also the co-founder of MATRIX. In 1997 John
returned to the U.S. from Hungary eager to recreate the supportive,
open atmosphere of the East European coffeehouses or art galleries.
John recognized the value of inviting established writers and artists
to present their work publicly, to mix naturally with the underground
poetry and art scene in Bloomington that was thriving but under-exposed.
On arrival John set out to make a public space for visual and literary
arts to thrive and be exposed.
