Frozen II; A Big Winter Blowout!

So the frozen fans couldn’t just ‘Let it go’… The recently released sequel of the biggest hit animated movie Frozen (2013) has made a striking comeback.

At times, sequels do not turn out great or may not have enough entertainment to satisfy the same expectations of the fans. Like Lion King’s sequel couldn’t live up to the expectations of the fans. Critics say that its lifelike characters couldn’t just trigger the nostalgia fans were looking forward to.

Frozen II, being the most awaited movie of the year has actually swept the fans off their feet. The sequel seems to be the biggest hit of the year. Fans are enthralled by the new mesmerizing songs like ‘into the unknown’ after the iconic ‘let it go’ which still was on the hit list and replayed enough of the times to haunt the parents to this day.

The movie is yet again an epitome of perfection which has warmed the hearts of the generation of tykes while adding magic to the winters and upcoming Christmas endeavors.

The movie is a blend of fun, excitement, happiness, melancholy and sillyness. The complete power pack of the characters returns with electrifying music and cinematography.

The story continues with the left loose ends, where Queen Elsa with her fearsome freezing powers given by a “secret siren”. The disembodied soprano whistle leads her through the Enchanted Forest and to the River Ahtohallan to learn the difficult truth about her family’s past.

Elsa along her team frozen which comprises of her beloved younger sister Anna, Kristoff, Sven and Olaf embarks on an adventurous journey into the unknown beyond their homeland of Arendelle pursuing the strange voice summoning her to discover the origin of Elsa’s magical powers and save their kingdom.

The animation and treatment of the objects has been so marvelously done that it spell-bounds the viewers. The volatile spirits of Earth, Air, Water and Fire on the framework along with the demonstration of the beauty, terror and instability of the elements via a neon pink forest fire symbolizing a salamander and an ethereal water horse that Elsa rides across the unruly, dark sea are just impeccable.

The tale however unfolds the secrets of the past to heal old wounds while Elsa and her entourage come across various troubles welcoming them into the enchanted forest. A number of savvy references to the original and jokes have been added for the fans to retrospect the prior part to establish the notion.

As much as the first movie generated such a bracing gust of enthusiasm, “Frozen 2” will inevitably be nitpicked and judged against those lofty standards. But yet it seems to be doing a great business.

Frozen II breaks a record after raking in a cool $358 million at the box office in the opening weekend. The flick has made box office history after achieving the biggest opening weekend in earnings of all time for an animated movie. The Disney film “Frozen 2” sold an estimated $34.7 million in tickets over this last weekend, bringing its total domestic sales to about $337.6 million — nearly double what that original “Frozen” had made by the end of its third wide-release weekend in 2013, adjusting for inflation. “Frozen 2” brought in an additional $90.2 million internationally this weekend, according to the studio, for cumulative global sales of about $919.7 million, and still growing weekend after weekend.

It has scored 77 percentile on tomatometer and 93% on audience score so far, who knows what records it may break in the coming days.

The movie however delivers a message of triumphant family love and to always do the right thing even in the darkest of times which will leave a good impact on the children worldwide.
