About the series: "Continuing its long-standing tradition, the Bloomington Area Arts Council, in conjunction with area businesses, presents the 2000-2001 Bloomington Poetry Series. This season is hosted by MATRIX, a space for literary and visual arts. The series will feature local favorites Eric Rensberger and Antonia Matthews sharing the stage with emerging talents such as The Saboteurs, Jason Stahl, Carrie Spadter, and will incorporate multi-media collaborations as well." September 27th "Art is Fact"
7-9 pm in the John Waldron Auditorium
Saboteurs, Coup Coup Daddy, and Eric Rensberger.

October 25th

"Beyond Expression"

7-9 pm in the Rose Firebay
Poets Carrie Spadter, Tony Brewer, Andy Alphonse, plus Barebones Orchestra, films by Eve Hermann, and a live "Vibe Painting" by redbeard.

November 8th
"Autumn's tone embarks"

7 PM at the Rose Firebay
Featuring poets Abner Bardeguez, John Pearson, Andy Coffey, and Patrica Coleman.

February 28th
"In the Spirit of Women Everywhere"

7-9 pm in the Rose Firebay
With poets Jada B. ,Pearl Chan, Jenny Kander,Mocha, Lora Wagers, Terry Wisniewski, and Patricia Coleman who will also display her artwork.

April 4th
"Celebration of the Spoken Word"

7-9 pm in the John Waldron Auditorium
Award-winning Hungarian poet Adam Makkai; director of IU creative writing program David Wojahn; local poets Breshaun B. Joyner and David Wade.
